How to choose your centre
  • Open the official booking service at gov.uk/life-in-the-uk-test and select Start now
  • Pick the centre and date that suit you. If your nearest centre has no suitable date, check another one
  • You must book at least 3 days in advance
  • If you have a disability and need extra equipment or help getting into the centre, you can make a special request when you book
Before you travel

Check your booking confirmation for the address and the time to arrive, and allow extra time: GOV.UK says you cannot get a refund if you were late. Take the same original ID you used to book. Our guide to booking the test, ID and refunds has the details.

GOV.UK is the only official government service for booking the test, so only book there. If you want to practise first, try a free Life in the UK practice test.
