Terms & Privacy

Terms of Use

By using Britizenship, you agree to the following terms:

  • Britizenship is an unofficial preparation tool. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to the UK Government, Home Office, or any official testing body.
  • All content is for general information and practice purposes only. Always refer to the official GOV.UK website and the official handbook "Life in the United Kingdom: A Guide for New Residents" (3rd Edition) for definitive information.
  • We do not guarantee that using this site will ensure you pass the Life in the UK Test, though our Pass Guarantee (below) offers a refund in specific circumstances if you don't.
  • The "Premium" access is a one-time payment feature tied to your current device/browser storage. It is non-transferable, and non-refundable except as set out in the Pass Guarantee below. The access password is provided after payment.
  • You must not misuse this site (e.g., attempt to scrape content, introduce malware, or disrupt service).
  • We reserve the right to modify or discontinue the service at any time without notice.
Pass Guarantee

If you complete all 46 Premium mock tests (verified via your device's Completion Certificate) and go on to sit and fail the official Life in the UK Test within 90 days of activating Premium, we will refund your £9.99 payment.

  • To claim, email hello@britizenship.uk within 14 days of your test result, quoting your Completion Certificate reference ID and evidence of your official test result (e.g. your result notification from the test centre).
  • Refunds under this guarantee are issued once per purchase, and are at our discretion where evidence appears fraudulent, manipulated, or inconsistent with our own records.
  • This guarantee applies only to the £9.99 Premium unlock, not to the separate Donate payment.
Privacy Policy

Your privacy is important. This policy explains what data we collect and how we use it.

  • No Account, No Personal Data Collection by Us: We do not require an account, and we do not directly collect, store, or process personal information such as your name or address.
  • Local Storage: Your progress (test answers, mistakes, premium status) is stored locally in your browser using localStorage. This data never leaves your device and is not sent to us. Clearing your browser cache will erase this data.
  • Analytics & Advertising Cookies: We use Google Analytics and Google AdSense to understand site usage and to display ads that help keep this site free. These services use cookies and similar technologies (including from Google and its advertising partners) that may collect information such as your IP address, device/browser type, and pages visited. You can learn how Google uses this data at policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites, and manage ad personalisation at myadcenter.google.com. Premium users do not see ads on this site.
  • Payments: Premium purchases and donations are processed by Stripe. We do not see or store your card details — Stripe's own privacy policy applies to that transaction.
  • External Links: Our site contains links to external websites (e.g., GOV.UK). We are not responsible for the privacy practices or content of those sites.
  • Email Contact: If you email us (e.g., via the contact form or payment email), your email address and message will be used solely to respond to your inquiry. We do not retain or share this information beyond what is necessary.
  • Children: Our service is intended for adults preparing for the Life in the UK Test. We do not knowingly collect any data from children.
  • Changes: Any changes to this policy will be posted on this page.
